OLD BUSINESS

1.        Cabinet for church to store our stuff: Lance and Chris discussed getting a cabinet large enough to hold coffee, plates, etc for our monthly meetings. The church minister has agreed to allow us to install something as long as it was nice looking. Chris and Lance will talk to the minister about where the club could put the cabinet and have it so we could lock it for security. A lengthy discussion followed and George Deel made a motion for Lance Burton to be empowered to purchase a cabinet to store club cups, coffee and etc. Glen Spielbusch seconded the motion and motion carried.

2.        2008 MAFCA Regional Meet: Chris will talk to Bob about hotels and where this all stands.

3.        Other items of old business: Chuck Haber brought up the point systems and he felt the system was very cumbersome. After a discussion, Chuck made a motion the point system being cumbersome and difficult to maintain, in the best intension of the club that we allow each member to have one free meal for the Christmas Dinner. Lynn Lackey seconded and motion carried that the club would purchase one meal per membership for this year and do away with the point system. Chuck after more discussion made a motion that the members should be allowed to purchase the first two meals at half price for this years Christmas Dinner. There was no second and the motion died.

4.        Other items of agenda not listed: We might look at events for charities where we charge to take people for rides etc. to raise money by driving the cars. An example might be to get the wineries to pay us to show the cars for the money to go to St. Jude’s or a similar charity. Lance Burton called Hermann MO winery it is 222 miles to go there for an October-fest.
