Board Meeting
August 1, 2006

CALL TO ORDER

Approval of the July Board Minutes: Motion to accept July minutes made by Lance Burton, second was made by Jim Shaw, motion carried.

· Those in attendance at the November board meeting were: Chris Launer, Lynn Lackey , Jim Shaw , Lance Burton, Glen Spielbusch, Ed Muntz, and Bob Hess.

STANDING REPORTS

Publications Director Lynn Lackey had no report to give.

2. Membership Director: Lance Burton stated membership same as last month

3.Activities Director: Glen stated the picnic was great, Union Pacific is having an open house coming up at I-35 and Front st., food will be provided, and specific date will be provided sometime in September. Hyde Park has asked our club to bring as many cars as possible for their open house. Time would only be from about 10AM to about 2PM for two days. Car show in Moberly Mo. On September the 8th, and flyers will be passed out during the next meeting

4. Treasurer: Chuck Haber was not in attendance, but furnished a treasurer ‘s report.

5. Plain Old A’s: Bob Hess had nothing to report.

NEW BUSINESS

1. Bob Hess gave an update on the Regional, stated we now need to get going. Said will use the same format as Springfield did. Jim Shaw mentioned having a Hubley race, Jim Spawn talked to H&H and they will furnish an engine for us to raffle off, in turn have time to put on a seminar. Jim and Bob have been researching locations around the metro area. Have already gotten some bids for room rates. Bob said we need to set up a steering committee. Motion by Jim Shaw for board to support the decision of the steering committee, a second was made by Lance Burton. Discussion by Glen Spielbusch wants the committee to present to membership in a way to keep them informed on what is going on. Steering committee was set up with Lance Burton working with Bob Hess as assistant director, Bob Hess as Director, Chris Launer as the president, Glen spielbusch as Activities chairman, Publications will be handled by Lynn Lackey and Jim Spawn. Tours chairman is Jim Shaw, and Treasurer will be Chuch Haber. Members will be asked to volunteer for these committees.
