October 2007 Board Minutes
HEART OF AMERICA MODEL A FORD CLUB
OCTOBER 2, 2007
CALL TO ORDER
Approval of the SEPTEMBER Board Minutes: Motion to accept
September minutes was made by Lance Burton, and a second was
made by Jim Shaw. Motion carried.
· Those in attendance at the November board meeting
were: Chris Launer, Ed Muntz, Lance Burton, Glen Spielbusch,
Lynn Lackey, Jim Shaw, and Chuck Haber.
STANDING REPORTS
Publications Director: Lynn said the newsletter had been
sent out.
2. Membership Director: Lance said he had one renewal and
one new member signed up for the next year.
3.Activities Director: Glen reported that we had an excellent
turn out for the Bonnie and Clyde Symposium. Oct 7th there
is a Lawrence car show, and the Plain Ol A’s have an
open invitation to any one who would like to join them on
their tour to the Ozarks, Oct 18,19,and 20th, they have approximately
30 cars signed up.
4. Treasurer: Chuck passed out the financial report and a
motion to accept the financial report was by Lynn and a second
by Ed, motion passed.
OLD BUSINESS
1. Update on 2008 regional: Bob Hess is working on finalizing
what amount will be needed for deposits. Motion was made for
the board to OK $1000 for Bob to use as needed. Motion to
ok this amount was made by Ed Muntz and a second was made
by Lance Burton. Discussion: Glen said we need a estimate
on what is needed and a budget. Motion passed.
2. Report from the nominating committee: Jim reported that
we had no response yet from the newsletter for positions up
for the coming term. At this time these members have offered
to fill these positions Lance Burton for President, Ed Muntz
for secretary, Mike Clayton for Vice President, and Jim Shaw
for Membership
3. Belger Award: Was discussed and a candidate was selected.
4. Dinner with outgoing and incoming officers: The restaurant
will be Mimi”s at 135th and Antioch at 4:30 pm.
5. CHRISTMAS DINNER: Will be Dec 9th and discussion about
having a program for that evening.
6. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS FOR SERVICE: Certificates of appreciation
will be handed out during the thanksgiving meeting for our
hostesses.
NEW BUSINESS
1. There were no items of new business submitted:
